Mùsica : Truman ....Tea Time Keyboards

Tea and scones are a favorite tradition in Victoria, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland and other cities in the Pacific Northwest. Some of the hotels and restaurants feature a Breakfast Tea or an Afternoon Tea that includes background music by a pianist, keyboardist, or small group. These Tea Time Keyboard pieces are intended to accompany your selection of teas, scones, curds, jams, and creams--the brew is steeped and poured, now enjoy a long morning, afternoon, or evening of tea and music. Of course you don't have to like tea to enjoy the music; try it with coffee, hot chocolate, or beer, sangria, tequila, vodka, or bourbon—or juice and soda. The “Tea Kettle” album cover is a photo of a pastel painting by R. Hart. All the songs in this album are original compositions except for my version of the jazz classic “Tea for Two” on the third track. This is only the second cover song that I’ve added to an album—the other was my version of the blues classic “Chasin the Blues Away” on the album Peninsula Blues. It's fun to do covers, so I might collect together some folk, blues, and jazz pieces for a full album in the future.
[Liner Notes: I've added some "liner notes" for the songs that can be found on my Truman Music Blog. Here's a sample for the last song in the album. Song 12. "My daughter Kedra Hart creates teas and perfumes at her Jitterbug Perfume Parlour in Hollywood, California and also sells them online at her Opus Oils web site. Jasmine Breeze Green is one of her favorite green teas; this song tries to evoke some of the olfactory and gustatory sensations experienced when savoring the tea. (A favorite black tea and perfume in her collections is called Island Girl, but I haven't composed a song about that one yet.) The 'Breeze' composition started with a dominant left hand rhythm and then developed the sustained melody line and chordal harmonies, later additional counter rhythms were added to the mix using the Yamaha PSR-S910 workstation. The composition begins with a diminished A chord and layers in BalladStack, SparkleStack, and Standard Electric Piano voices along with an ArabicKit side rhythm."]
